Fran Anderton

I officially became a Glass Artist in 2003 after gaining a Diploma in Glass Design and Production.

I find many disciplines in the creation of art glass fascinating, but the adrenalin of blowing hot glass holds my heart.

In 2019 I imported my own mini glass furnace from USA, enabling me to be self sufficient in my Frantic Glass Studio, situated on my property in Castlecliff,  Whanganui.

I sell work directly from my studio and from galleries in the North and South Island.

Green Apple Bottle is a hot blown glass bottle with a hand-ground stopper.

The delicious colours and forms of fruit have enticed me to highlight and duplicate the form in the medium of hot glass for a few years now. I hope the viewer can appreciate the purity I have endeavoured to capture by use of colour, surface preparation and form in this piece.
